Pool Buzz

Get Well Soon, Mika Immonen!

Hall of Famer Mika “The Iceman” Immonen, a World Champion and Player of the Decade, was diagnosed with stage-4 colorectal cancer in December 2023 - a fight he continues to face with quiet strength in 2025.

Over the past year, he has undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy, faced hospitalizations, and battled a fast-growing tumor in his esophagus. Through it all, Mika has remained defiant, calling the illness a “little invader” he’s determined to push out—echoing the same fierce mentality that defined his legendary career.

Led by his partner Mee Warren, his family launched a crowdfunding campaign to support ongoing treatment. From fans to fellow pros, the global pool community stands behind him - reminded once again that in this sport, heart matters as much as skill.
